PSG midfielder offered to AC Milan
AC Milan have been offered Georginio Wijnaldum. PSG are willing to pay half of the Dutch midfielder’s salary.
AC Milan continue to negotiate the purchase of Renato Sanches from Lille. The Rossoneri have an agreement with the French on the transfer fee but PSG’s intervention complicated everything on the player’s side. Under such conditions Maldini and Massare are forced to consider other options.
Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Paris Saint-Germain have offered Georginio Wijnaldum to AC Milan. The Netherlands star is exactly the type of player the Rossoneri are searching to replace the departed Franck Kessie.
Wijnaldum had a generally positive first season in France although he wasn’t an undisputed starter under Mauricio Pochettino. Nevertheless, the former Liverpool central midfielder ended the season with 38 appearances. Wijnaldum is looking for a new club because he’s not part of Christophe Galtier’s new project.
AC Milan are reportedly considering Georginio Wijnaldum as a valid alternative if talks for other targets fail. PSG are open to let him leave either on loan or on a permanent transfer. The French champions are also willing to pay half of Wijnaldum’s salary of around €10 million per season.
Besides Milan, Wijnaldum has been offered to Roma too. The Rossoneri expect to understand soon if a deal for Renato Sanches is ultimately possible or not. Otherwise Maldini will look around for alternatives. Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz is reportedly the plan B but the 35 million asking price of the Premier League club is deemed unreasonable for a player who becomes a free agent in one year.
