Who is Pierre Kalulu, AC Milan’s first summer signing

Pierre Kalulu

AC Milan have completed the signing of Lyon defender Pierre Kalulu on a fee transfer beating the strong competition of Bayern Munich.

The first summer signing of AC Milan for the new 2020/2021 season will be Pierre Kalulu. The rumor launched this morning in France was confirmed throughout the day also in Italy. On Monday the player will be in Milano to carry out the medical tests and sign a five-year contract with the Rossoneri club.

Negotiations to bring the 20-year-old full back at AC Milan were conducted by technical director Paoli Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara. A signings that looks to the future but also the present. The French starlet was in fact a key player of Lyon Under 19, of which he was captain.

The right back, gifted with great speed and personality, will be able to carve out great space in an AC Milan that has not yet found its owner on the right side of the defence. Pierre Kalulu, sought after by important clubs such as Bayern Munich, is above all skilled in the offensive phase but has often shown himself reliable in defence with his clean and precise interventions. A similar player to Theo Hernandez.

The talented defender, who has been on Moncada’s notebook for long, always attentive on French football, can also play as central defender and, if necessary, as a left back.

Unfortunately it was not possible Kalulu to face off with the big names in Ligue 1 this season also because of contract expiring on June 30th, which suggested a goodbye to Lyon shortly. AC Milan acted quickly convincing Pierre to reject Lyon’s renewal and the temptation of the German giants thus securing the services of one of the most important talents of French football.
