AC Milan transfer target to be sold soon
AC Milan are among the interested clubs for Dusan Vlahovic. The Fiorentina striker will leave after refusing to renew his contract.
Dusan Vlahovic’s adventure at Fiorentina is coming to an end. The 21-year-old Serbian striker will not renew his contract, which expires on 30 June 2023, with the Viola club. Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso confirmed on the club’s official website that despite all their attempts Vlahovic will not renew.
At this point the future of Vlahovic is already written. The young centre forward will leave at the end of the season or in January because Fiorentina will avoid losing him for free after rejecting 60 million euros from Atletico Madrid this summer.
AC Milan are long time admirers of the 21-year-old star. Maldini and Massara consider him an ideal profile for the Rossoneri and perhaps the perfect substitute for Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is likely closing his career at the end of the season.
Journalist Franco Ordine reports that Juventus are the first club to move for Dusan Vlahovic but the Bianconeri will be paying Chiesa and Locatelli next season so they can only afford him on loan with obligation to buy. A transfer in Chiesa-style that Fiorentina don’t seem very enthusiastic to repeat.
AC Milan are interested and next summer they will be able to spend significantly for a few players. However, the race for Vlahovic’s services will be tough with many important clubs keeping tabs on his situation. The Fiorentina striker scored 21 goals last season in 37 Serie A appearances.
