After the international break, AC Milan will face Hellas Verona. The Rossoneri desperately need to make points before the important derby match against Inter next week. The Red and Black should be carefully to avoid another Fatal Verona.
Although many Rossoneri were on international duty, Marco Giampaolo has worked a lot at Milanello with the players at his disposal. The Italian coach must take into consideration the physical and athletic condition of the returning players but he has already projected the starting eleven for Verona vs Milan.
New arrival Ante Rebic will have to sit on the bench because Giampaolo’s 4-3-2-1 formation favors penalizes wingers. No changes in defence for Verona vs Milan with Donnarumma between the posts. Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli and Ricardo Rodriguez complete the back line. Theo Hernandez has returned to train with the team but he’ll likely make an appearance on the second half.
In midfield, Giampaolo is aiming for creativity with both Lucas Paqueta and Hakan Calhanoglu on the pitch. The Turkey international will play as left midfielder with Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer completing the department.
The choices in attack will be equally interesting. There was no doubt that Suso was going to start behind the centre forward that will once again be Kris Piatek but the use of Lucas Paqueta in the same position is a novelty from Giampaolo. Two trequartistas in support of the Polish striker who is still in search of his first goal this season.
