Two sponsors pushing Mancini at Milan

Roberto Mancini

“Gattuso is not a scapegoat and is not just a youth sector coach promoted in the first team. He’s much more“: with these words, pronounced at the press conference while presenting Gennaro Gattuso as the new coach of the first Rossoneri team in the place of the just sacked Vicnezno Montella, Marco Fassone explained that Ringhio is not seen as a simple ferryman. At the end of the season, however, a detailed analyse will be made and the permanence of Rino on AC Milan bench’s is not guaranteed at all.

SPONSORS – La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning, that at the end of the season the Rossoneri will appoint a new coach, surprises excluded. And one of the names considered favorites is that of Roberto Mancini, now at Zenit. The former Inter coach has more experience than Gattuso as he has won both in Italy and abroad (England and Turkey). The Mancio apparently has two very important sponsors inside the club of Via Aldo Rossi, that is, Marco Fassone and sports director Massimiliano Mirabelli, with whom he worked in the Nerazzurri.

TWO OBSTACLES – It will not be easy to convince Mancini to leave Russia, where he receives a salary of about eight million euros per season. For Zenit it is not a problem to give this figure to the technician, while the same thing could not possibly be said for Milan. However a new adventure in Italy could tempt the former coach of Manchester City. Mancio, who declares himself very happy in Russia, is also a candidate for the Italian national team, who are still looking for a new coach after the departure of Giampiero Ventura.
