Journalist: Two players have said yes to Maldini

AC Milan want to improve the squad with a few signings in January and two defenders have said yes to Maldini.

AC Milan have started the new year in the best possible way with a 2-0 victory against Benevento. Off the pitch, the Rossoneri are busy on the transfer market with at least two signings expected. One in defense and the other in midfield. The management is already moving but the available budget is a bit limiting.

For the back line, two hot names are those of RC Strasbourg’s Mohamed Simakan and Ozan Kabak why plays for Schalke 04. Nothing new, since already in the summer Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara tried to bring at least one to the Rossoneri but without success.

Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur on Twitter confirms that Milan are again in talks with both Simakan and Kabak to reinforce the defence. Both players have said yes to a transfer to AC Milan.

Maldini and Massara have the go-ahead from the two central defenders but they must find an agreement with their clubs. Strasbourg for Simakan asks about 18-20 million euros while Schalke 04 for Kabak asks for more than 20 million.

AC Milan don’t want to go beyond 15 million so there is still economic distance in the negotiations. At the same time, the Rossoneri management are working to offload at least one between Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio in order not to avoid an overcrowded department.
