Two new signings are expected to start form the first minute in AC Milan vs Inter. The derby is played on Saturday.

After the valuable three points against Hellas Verona, but with a disappointing performance, it’s time to think about the derby. On Saturday evening, AC Milan host their city-rivals of Inter at the San Siro stadium.

While the Nerazzurri cousins currently lead the Serie A with 9 points, the situation among the Rossoneri is a bit more tense. Coach Marco Giampaolo seems confused in his choices and the fans, but also the management, are unhappy that many of the new arrivals continue to sit on the bench. AC Milan invested nearly €100 million in six signings this summer and expects them to be more useful for Giampaolo.

Thankfully it seems like the situation will change for Milan vs Inter. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Ismael Bennacer and Ante Rebic should start from the first minute in the derby. The Algerian midfielder offered a very good display against Brescia but surprisingly Biglia took his place with Verona. The 21-year-old should regain his spot in front of the defence.

One of the few positive notes of Verona-Milan was the performances of Ante Rebic. The Croatian winger replaced Lucas Paqueta in the second half and immediately showed that he is ready. Fast and always willing to attack, Rebic could be the perfect partner for Suso and Piatek. Furthermore, the likely use of the 4-3-3 formation in the derby clearly increases his chances.

Before the match with Verona Giampaolo declared: Do not think that a player can arrive tomorrow and play immediately at Milan. He will have to wait and get in line because I think of the team first“. Finally we may get to see some of the new signings starting to play a bigger role at Milan.
