Two Italian clubs want to sign AC Milan starlet

The Italian striker is struggling to find space at AC Milan and could leave in the winter transfer window to join another Serie A club.

During this very positive start to the season for AC Milan, not all the elements of the squad have managed to shine and carve out their space. Some players, for various reasons, have remained a bit on the sidelines. A perfect example is Pietro Pellegri.

The former Monaco forward, despite the injuries of Ibrahimovic and Giroud in recent months, has not managed to establish himself and convince Stafano Pioli to give him a chance. Pellegri has made only 4 appearances so far for a disappointing total of 82 minutes played. Perhaps now with Ibrahimovic the only available centre forward, the Italian youngster will have more chances.

In the meantime, however, the January market is approaching and the player has began to reflect on his future. The possibility of leaving the Rossoneri is a realistic one. A footballer of Pellegri’s age needs to play more especially after the numerous injuries that have limited him in the last two seasons.

According to Tuttosport, Genoa and Torino could make a January move for Pietro Pellegri. Genoa would be ready to welcome back the player they helped launch in Serie A at the age of 15 years and 280 days. New Genoa coach Andriy Shevchenko is looking to add a new striker to his roster.

Torino’s coach Ivan Juric has already worked with Pellegri in the past and would like to reteam with his former player. Torino want to sign a new striker because Andrea Belotti has suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out for around two months. AC Milan spent €1 million to sign Pellegri from Monaco on loan with an option to make his transfer permanent at the end of the season. The chances of that happening are dramatically low.
