After a fine performance in Coppa Italia it’s time for AC Milan to concentrate on the upcoming Super Cup final against Juventus in Saudi Arabia.
The Coppa Italia match with Sampdoria could provide the necessary spark to the Rossoneri’s season. A rock solid performance in defence and exciting game in midfield from new signing Lucas Paqueta. Cutrone seems in top form while Higuain remains the only problem to solve.
Pleased with the performance against Sampdoria coach Gennaro Gattuso will rely on nearly the same starting eleven. The only two changes are going to be in the back line. Despite the excellent display Gigio Donnarumma will take Pepe Reina’s place between the posts. The Spanish goalkeeper was simply impeccable in Coppa Italia saving the result on two occasions.
The second change concerns the right flank where Ignazio Abate will be replaced by Davide Calabria. Andrea Conti provided a sublime assists in the extra minutes of Sampdoria-Milan but he still isn’t fully fit to start from the first minute. So it’s up to Calabria to give a helping hand when attacking.
The rest of the starting eleven is going to be the same we saw against Samp. Lucas Paqueta will direct the game in midfield. The Brazilian talent performed really well in his first outing with the Rossoneri and hopefully he will do even bettwe against Juventus.
