Tuttosport: All Milan midfield targets after Ki

AC Milan’s current midfield doesn’t lack quality but Massimiliano Mirabelli is looking for new signings to further strengthen that department.

According to reports by Tuttosport AC Milan are thinking about a couple of purchases for the midfield in order to create important alternatives for the three regular starters Bonaventura, Lucas Biglia and Kessie. In fact, the future of Montolivo, Locatelli and Jose Mauri at San Siro is in serious doubt and the club is looking to bring in new recruits that can help the squad.

The first name, which seems very close to joining AC Milan, is that of Ki Sung-Yeung. The 29 year old South Korean midfielder’s contract with Swansea City expires in June and he will be available for free. Recent rumors suggest that Massimiliano Mirabelli and the player’s agent have found an agreement and everything will be closed by the end of the month.

But Ki will not be the only reinforcement in that department. The Asian midfielder could be accompanied by more prestigious purchases. The names are the usual: from Kevin Strootman, that Roma could sacrifice at the end of the season, to the unhappy Andre Gomes who is determined to leave Barcelona.

It is also possible that on Thursday in London the Rossoneri officials will be able to discuss a move with Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, also about to become free agent and still hasn’t decided what team to join next. The dream instead is Arturo Vidal, 30 year old central midfielder of Bayern Munich and also a target of Inter.
