AC Milan scouts took advantage of tonight’s match to observe closely two Sampdoria players who have done well so far.
AC Milan faced Sampdoria tonight at the Marassi stadium in Genoa for the tenth round of Serie A. Stefano Pioli’s team secure another important win and continue to lead Serie A with a record 26 points. The match was decided by a penalty transformed in goal by Franck Kessie and Samu Castillejo who scored on his first touch.
Sampdoria have made a positive start to the season. In the ten matches played so far various players have attracted the attention of other clubs with their performances including the Rossoneri. According to MilanLive.it, AC Milan scouts were interested in two players during tonight’s match.
The first is Mikkel Damsgaard. The 20-year-old Danish winger is in his debut season in Serie A and is gaining praise for his displays. The Rossoneri scouts are always attracted to young talents. Against Milan he entered the pitch in the second half. In the summer Sampdoria spent 6.5 million to sign Damsgaard from Nordsjaelland and recently he has become a teammate of Kjaer in the national team.
Another Sampdoria player that is doing well this season is Tommaso Augello. Just like Damsgaard, the 26-year-old left back joined Samp this summer from Spezia.
Augello is one of the names in AC Milan’s list of targets as Theo Hernandez’s back-up. The Rossoneri don’t have another natural left back in the squad and on several occasions Dalot and Calabria had to adapt in that position when Theo didn’t play.
