Now that the striker problem has been solved AC Milan are concentrated on signing a new winger. Four are the players that the Rossoneri are considering.
AC Milan are very active on the transfer market. With Gonzalo Higuain set to move to Chelsea the Rossoneri have completed the purchase of Krzysztof Piatek for around 35 million euros from Genoa. With Lucas Paqueta’s great adaption and Biglia’s return in three weeks, sporting director Leonardo and Paolo Maldini consider the midfield completed and are searching for a new winger instead.
According to Tuttosport, there are four names that AC Milan are considering starting with Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld. The Club Brugge winger has become a sensation in Belgium and recently made his debut with the Netherlands national team. The 10-15 million rated Groeneveld is a hot prospect in Jupiler League and several English team are after him. AC Milan have already contacted Brugge for Groeneveld but the Belgium club are reluctant to sell in January and would prefer to negotiate in summer.
Asked about the interest of Milan, Groeneveld replied: “Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and as a player it’s more than logical that you’re fascinated by this interest. I do not know if the two clubs are talking about it. The president of Club Brugge knows what I think, he knows my point of view“. To date, he is the most likely player to join the Rossoneri.

Yannick Ferreira Carrasco is the other alternative. The Belgium international was to leave China and return to Europe but negotiating with Dalian Yifang hasn’t been easy. The Chinese club demand 20 million euros for Carrasco and are not willing to accept loan with the right to buy. The player’s contract is another issue because he earns around 10 million euros per season in China.
Gelson Martins is the new name. The Atletico Madrid right winger has failed to establish himself in Spain and is expected to leave after just 6 months. Atletico Madrid are open to offer him even on loan but AC Milan don’t seem very convinced on his candidacy. Monaco are the most interested club in Gelson Martins and unless the Rossoneri make a move quickly he will no longer be considered an option.
Moussa Djenepo of Standard Liege is another profile that the AC Milan management are considering. He is 20 years old, can play as left or right winger and even as attacking midfielder. Djenepo has interesting qualities and fits the characteristics Milan require.
