German manager Ralf Rangnick is enchanted by Italian midfielder Samuele Ricci although competition for the Empoli starlet is high.
As reported by acmilnainfo.com in April, AC Milan have been following Samuele Ricci for the last year. The young Empoli midfielder is making a name for himself in Serie B with some great performances so far.
The 18-year-old central midfielder has been observed closely by the Rossoneri scouts on many occasions. The Rossoneri reports have literally bewitched Ralf Rangnick, the likely future manager of AC Milan.
The German, who will rely on young and forward-looking signings, wants to focus strongly on Ricci, considered to be one of the most promising Italian players of his age.
According to Calciomercato, Rangnick has given the green light to sign Samuele Ricci. The German considers the Empoli starlet a priority, even if the deal is not that simple.
Blame the competition from two rival clubs. Napoli have already moved an offer, deemed too low by Empoli. But Fiorentina also seems really interested in the Italy U-19 midfielder. Empoli are reportedly asking 15 million euros to sell Samuele Ricci.
Ricci’s name appeals to many. Milan, however, are in negotiations with Empoli for quite some time and with Rangnick’s approval, the Rossoneri could speed up talks to give the German manager a midfielder of great quality and talent ready to be launched immediately in highest tier of Italian football.
