Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, a top transfer target of AC Milan.
As reported by acmilaninfo.com, Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is the top transfer target of Ralf Rangnick who is expected to succeed Stefano Pioli as the next coach of AC Milan.
However, the Rossoneri have been in talks with Red Bull Salzburg long before Rangnick was identified as the next coach of Milan. In January, Zvonimir Boban and Paolo Maldini tried to lure the talented left midfielder at San Siro. Their attempt was unsuccessful as Salzburg wanted to avoid selling another gem, after having sold Erling Haaland to Dortmund.
Nevertheless, talks between parties never stopped. Szoboszlai is still a priority for the Rossoneri and according to reports AC Milan are close to completing his purchase for a fee of 20 million euros. Still Milan must be wary of competition.
Former AC Milan sporting director Leonardo, now at PSG, is trying to hijack Milan’s move for Dominik Szoboszlai. The French giants have been very active in recent hours reports MilanNews.it.
PSG are reportedly willing to offer more than Milan for Szoboszlai increasing their bid to 25 million plus bonuses. That would put Milan at a tight corner since the Rossoneri have been working hard to lower Salzburg’s demands.
