AC Milan sign highly-rated Sporting defender
AC Milan have secured Sporting talent Tiago Djalo on a free transfer. The 18 year old defender will join the Primavera team for the remaining of the season.
It’s time for Milan to forget the Super Cup and concentrate on the league… and also on the transfer market. The departure of Gonzalo Higuain and arrival of Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa has been the top headline of this week but sporting director Leonardo is also working on other names like Sporting youngster Tiago Djalo.
Sky Sport reports that AC Milan have reached an agreement with Sporting and the 18 years old defender will join the Rossoneri shortly. Djalo’s contract with the Portuguese club expired at the end of the season so Sporting have agreed to sell him for free but will benefit from a sell-on clause (small percentage) on a subsequent transfer.
Tiago Djalo one of Portuguese football’s top prospects was very close to Manchester City and Lazio. Thanks to the quick intervention of chef scout Geoffrey Moncada AC Milan were able to burn the competition and secure the highly rated centre back.
