PSV Eindhoven have named the price tag of Steven Bergwijn, one of AC Milan’s top transfer targets for the winger position.
For a while AC Milan have been in search of a top winger. It’s yet unclear if the ideal player will arrive in January or it must be postponed for the summer. Whatever the case, Leonardo and Paolo Maldini will try till the end to gift a new winger to coach Gennaro Gattuso. The Rossoneri have been linked with many players one of which is PSV star Steven Bergwijn.
The 21 year old left winger of one of the best players in Netherlands and together with Hirving Lozano have formed a formidable duo at PSV. Bergwijn, just like his Mexican teammate, has been included in Leonardo’s list of possible signings. This season Steven Bergwijn has scored 9 goals and has also provided 9 assists helping PSV lead the Dutch league.
Bergwijn can also play as left winger and centre forward. A goalscorer and an assist-man, exactly what AC Milan are searching for. The competition for his services is fierce so surely 2019 is going to be his last season in Netherlands. According to reports, any club that wants to snatch Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven must pay 35 million euros for his services.
Steven Bergwijn
The young star is among the Rossoneri’s top targets but the management believes it’s an operation that can be concluded more easily in the summer. AC Milan have spent 70 million euros so far for the signing of Lucas Paqueta the Piatek and another purchase at these figures will likely aggravate their difficult relationship with UEFA. Something that the club is elegantly trying to avoid especially now that AC Milan are in top 4. Champions League qualification will offer the Rossoneri the opportunity to buy top talent without violating the FFP.
