Milan complete last minute transfer

Just a few minutes ago AC Milan completed the transfer of Alen Halilovic to Standard Liege. The outcast midfielder was rarely used by Gattuso.

Very likely the arrival of a new winger has been postponed for the summer. There are many names being linked to AC Milan but the timing is not perfect. A move at the end of the season would allow Milan to get a real top player if the team achieves Champions League qualification.

In the meantime the management is concentrated on selling a few players. Sky Sport reports that Leonardo and Paolo Maldini are trying to reduce the squad list. Something that has been a specific request of coach Gennaro Gattuso.

According to Sky, AC Milan have just completed the transfer of Alen Halilovic to Standard Liege. The Belgian club has worked underground to secure the former Barcelona. Halilovic has made only three appearances this season for a total of 60 minutes. The 22 year old Croatian attacking midfielder leaves on loan until the end of the season.

In the past Halilovic seemed very close to Bologna but it all failed. AC Milan later offered him to Genoa in the Piatek operation but without success. Hopefully at  Standard Liege, Halilovic will find the necessary space to showcase his qualities.
