AC Milan are about to close the sale of Samuel Castillejo. The Spanish right winger should return in La Liga.
These are very hot hours regarding the mercato. Next Tuesday the summer transfer window closes and clubs are working to complete their squads and offload redundancies. AC Milan are also involved with some last-minute negotiations, especially with sales. Maldini is trying to find other destinations for players who are no longer part of Pioli’s plans.
Such players are Andrea Conti and Samuel Castillejo. According to reports from Spain (via MilanNews.it), AC Milan are about to close the sale of Castillejo to Getafe. The 26-year-old right winger would return to La Liga after three seasons in Italy.
The Rossoneri number 7 should move to Getafe initially on loan with the obligation to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. Getafe are closing the sale of Marc Cucurella to Brighton for 18 million euros and want the former Villarreal to take his place.
Castillejo is closed by Alexis Saelemaekers and, at the same time, the Rossoneri are working to purchase a new winger. In his three years at San Siro, Castillejo made 108 appearances scoring 10 goals and assisting 13.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have already booked his replacement. Junior Messias will take Castillejo’s spot if negotiations with Getafe result successful. The Brazilian star of Crotone enjoyed a great season and has attracted the attention of the Rossoneri.
