AC Milan about to close last-minute sale
AC Milan are close to completing the transfer of Samuel Castillejo to CSKA Moscow. Massara confirms the move.
An infinite mercato this summer for AC Milan. After several signings, there is a need to offload a couple of unwanted players. Such a player is Samuel Castillejo, who could end at CSKA Moscow. The Russia market is open until 7 September so clubs still have time to bring new players.
According to reports, the transfer of Castillejo to CSKA Moscow is at the final details. After the match against Cagliari the former Villarreal seemed to confirm his departure saying “I will always be one of you” to the Rossoneri supporters.
Initially Samu Castillejo looked destined to return in Spain with Getafe and Real Sociedad very close to acquiring his services. Then the interest of Sampdoria and Spezia followed but nothing concrete was achieved. Now CSKA Moscow are about to close the signing of Castillejo on loan with an option to make the transfer permanent for a figure of around 8 million euros.
Interviewed by Eurostavka, AC Milan sporting director, Frederic Massara, confirmed everything: “There is really the interest of CSKA but at the moment I can not say more“. The Russian portal reports that the 26-year-old Spanish right winger has already applied for a working visa.
During the summer, AC Milan and CSKA Moscow had long talks about Nikola Vlasic who ended up joining West Ham for a 38 million euros transfer fee. Ironically, it will be Castillejo to take Vlasic’s spot rather than the other way around.
