AC Milan have set their sight on Club Brugge hot prospect Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld the Dutch media reports. The highly rated left winger is making a name for himself in Belgium.
A brand new idea for transfer business of AC Milan, directly from the Netherlands. According to reports from Telegraaf.nl, the Rososneri have set their sights on the very promising youngster Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld of Club Brugge.
The Dutch portal reports that, if it was depending only on him, Leonardo would be more than willing to immediately conclude the negotiations for the talented 21 year old left winger. However Club Brugge are reluctant to sell in January and are resisting Leonardo’s approach. The Belgian club signed Danjuma Groeneveld in the summer of 2018 for a mere 1 million euros and the player has a contract until 2022.
Even though Brugge could secure a great capital gain (the player has a market value of 10-15 million) they don’t believe it’s the right moment to discuss a transfer. After only 6 months in the Jupiler League Arnaut has become one of the best and most wanted players in Belgium. In 15 appearances this season, the 21 year old left winger that can also play as striker, has scored 5 goals and has provided 4 assists, winning the Belgian Supercup along the way.
Asked about the interest of Milan Danjuma Groeneveld replied: “Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and as a player it’s more than logical that you’re fascinated by this interest. I do not know if the two clubs are talking about it. The president of Club Brugge knows what I think, he knows my point of view“.
Even though he’s still at the beginning of his career it’s already obvious that the future of Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld is going to be bright. In 2018, the former PSV youth product became a regular with the Netherlands U-21 and by the end of the year he made his debut with the first national team (he scored his first goal with the national team jersey in his second match against Belgium). A very talented player, who has made giant steps forward in a very short time.
Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld
The promising Danjuma Groeneveld is a futuristic talent, like the ones that Ivan Gazidis likes. The goal of the new Rossoneri CEO is precisely to create a winning mix between prominent players and young talents that can be sold in the future for bigger fees. So, in the middle of the search for a striker and a midfielder, here comes the surprise hypothesis. AC Milan have already lost some of their transfer targets this month and therefore the management is forced to look elsewhere, with an eye to the future.
