Juventus tried to sign AC Milan striker in January
Juventus tried to snatch AC Milan talented striker Marco Nasti during the January window but without success.
The January transfer window has just closed and, unlike last summer, AC Milan were among the least active clubs. The Rossoneri completed only to signings, that of 18-year-old striker Marko Lazetic and 16-year-old centre back Cathal Heffernan. Too little for a club that aims to win the Scudetto.
During the winter mercato AC Milan crossed paths with Juventus. Dejan Kulusevski was initially proposed to Milan before joining Tottenaham while Federico Bernardeschi has been offered on a free transfer. Instead, Juventus had their eyes on Marco Nasti.
MilanNews.it reports that the Bianconeri are very interested in the 18-year-old Italian striker of Milan Primavera. Marco Nasti has played a key role for the young Rossoneri this season scoring 9 goals and assisting 2 in 12 appearances for Federico Giunti’s side.
Despite the serious attempt of Juventus, AC Milan immediately said no. The Rossoneri have no intention of letting a player of Nasti’s potential leave and join a direct rival. The management has high hopes for the young Italian striker who is doing really well this season.
An injury kept Nasti out for the first two months of the season but the player has returned in fine form ever since. “It’s been a tough few months but helping the team is my job as a striker. I am available to the coach and the team. Training with players like Ibra, Leao, Tomori is a source of pride. They help you technically and physically and give you a lot of morale. The first team? A dream that will soon come true“, said Marco Nasti for Milan TV.
