€38M Man United signing offered to AC Milan
AC Milan will sign a new centre back this summer and Manchester United centre back Eric Bailly has offered his services.
The purchase of a central defender is one of the priorities of AC Milan this summer. Maldini and Massara are willing bring in a new defender, a precise request of Stefano Pioli. The Italian coach wants a valid alternative for both Alessio Romagnoli and Simon Kjaer who will be the regular duo even for next season.
The list of names that the Rossoneri are considering is really long but the player that coach Pioli likes most seems to be Nikola Milenkovic. The Serbian defender has done well since joining Fiorentina in 2017.
However, negotiating with Fiorentina has not been easy at all with the Viola rating the 22-year-old at 40 million. Milenkovic’s agent, Fali Ramadani, is in constant contact with the Rossoneri to complete the permanent transfer of Ante Rebic. At the same time the parties have talked for Milenkovic and his contract expiring in two years could favor the Rososneri.
Considering he situation, Maldini is looking around for alternatives. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Manchester United centre back Eric Bailly has been offered to the Rossoneri. Milan have followed Bailly in the past.
The 26-year-old Ivory international has a contract with Manchester United until 2022. Jose Mourinho spent 38 million euros to buy him from Villarreal but Bailly has failed to cement himself as a regular starter in the Premier League. An interesting player but apparently not enough for Milan who have other targets in mind.
