AC Milan are keeping tabs in Benfica striker Darwin Nunez with Paolo Maldini crazy after the €60 million rated Uruguay international.
Investcorp’s possible takeover of AC Milan will not have an impact on the signing of Divock Origi. The Liverpool striker will join the Rossoneri at the end of the season on a free transfer. However, he may not be the only centre forward to arrive this summer as AC Milan are looking to add another player to their ranks with Paolo Maldini dreaming of Darwin Nunez.
Investcorp’s arrival will give Paolo Maldini more money to spend this summer and special attention will be paid to the attack according to reports. The name of Ajax star Sebastien Haller has been mentioned as a possible transfer target but AC Milan’s top pick is Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
Journalist Andrea Longoni reports that the Rossoneri management are crazy after Nunez. Maldini and Massara are big admirers of the 22-year-old centre forward who has been in devastating form this season scoring 33 goals and assisting 4 in 39 appearances. AC Milan have already held talks with the Portuguese club to understand their demands.
Benfica are open to sell Nunez this summer in front of an offer of €60 million. Milan have zero chances for Nunez with Elliott but with Investcorp on board things could change. The €60 million is nevertheless high and the Uruguay international is followed by a number of Premier League clubs.
However, the chance to be the front face of a new project and Champions League football give AC Milan hope. Darwin recently signed with Jorge Mendes. The Rossoneri and the Portuguese super-agent are already in discussions about Rafael Leao and Renato Sanches.
