Reggina coach Filippo Inzaghi is looking at AC Milan to strengthen his squad. Inzaghi’s club aims promotion to Serie A.
Former AC Milan duo Filippo Inzaghi and Massimo Taibi have reteamed at Reggina. The lethal striker is the coach of Reggina while the former goalkeeper serves as the sporting director of the club. Reggina currently stand second in the Serie B table and the management is looking for new players to improve the squad for the second part of the season.
Sources close to the club report that Reggina are on the market for a new centre forward and Inzaghi wants to sign Marko Lazetic. The young AC Milan striker was recently the protagonist in Serbia’s 2-1 victory over North Macedonia valid for the U-19 European qualifications. Lazetic was the captain of Serbia U-19 and scored a brace.
AC Milan spent 4.5 million to purchase Lazetic in January but the 18-year-old has found little space in the first squad closed by big names like Ibrahimovic, Giroud or Origi. This season, Lazetic has spent significant time with the Priamvera squad scoring 5 goals in 8 appearances with the young Rossoenri.
AC Milan are open to let Marko Lazetic leave in January on loan. Reggina could be a good destination for Marko considering that he would be learning from one of AC Milan’s best goal scorers ever like Super Pippo Inzaghi. Certainly, the amount of play time Reggina could guarantee him would be a key factor.
Cagliari, another Serie B club, are also interested in the AC Milan striker. Maldini and Massara will carefully evaluate what will be the best next step for Lazetic. It’s obvious like it will be difficult for him to breakthrough in Pioli’s squad so an experience out of Milan could be very beneficial for him.
