Jorge Mendes offers €80m PSG flop to AC Milan
AC Milan have been proposed to sign Goncalo Ramos on loan from PSG. The Portuguese striker wants to leave the French club.
AC Milan will make an important investment at the end of the season to strengthen their attack. Olivier Giroud will very likely part ways with AC Milan and try a new adventure in MLS despite a renewal offer from the Rossoneri. Regardless of what his final decision will be, Milan intend to sign a new top striker able to guarantee at least 20 goals per season and spend a hefty fee to get their men.
The three primary strikers linked with a summer move to AC Milan are Benjamin Sesko, Joshua Zirkzee and Santiago Gimenez. However, much will depend on the opportunities that the market will offer and the Rossoneri have already received a tempting proposal. According to calciomercato.com, Goncalo Ramos has been offered to AC Milan.
The 22-year-old Portuguese centre forward earned a move to PSG after a fantastic season with Benfica. Paris Saint-Germain spent a high fee of €80 million to sign Goncalo Ramos making him their second most expensive summer signing after Kolo Muani. Ramos has had a difficult first season in France finding it difficult to establish himself as a regular started in Luis Enrique’s squad due to the tough competition with Mbappe, Kolo Muani, Dembele and Asensio.
PSG are expected to sign at least one more top centre forward this summer this limiting the opportunities of Goncalo Ramos. Nevertheless, Ramos has scored 9 goals and 1 assist in 30 appearances with PSG mostly as a substitute. One goal every 153 minutes on the pitch. The Portuguese striker clearly does not fit into PSG and Luis Enrique’s style of play that’s why he wants a move out.
His agent Jorge Mendes is already on the move to find a new destination and and has offered Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan on loan. Ramos is not the typical number 9. He usually drops deep to help his team build their attacking play by bring his teammates into play and create chances for other players. His ability to attack space and create further space both inside and outside the penalty area with his movement is what made Ramos a household name in Portugal and convinced PSG to spend €80 million for his services.
