TS: Napoli defender offered to AC Milan

AC Milan are looking to sign a back-up for Theo Hernandez this summer and the Rossoneri have turned their attention to Napoli.

In January, AC Milan decided against signing a new left-back that would serve as the back-up to Theo Hernandez. At the end the Rossoneri chose to adapt Diogo Dalot in that position and postpone the issue for the summer.

Now Paolo Maldini his considering his options. Diego Laxalt, who will return from his Celtic Glasgow loan, is not one and must find a new club upon his return. Ideally the new left-back must arrive on a free transfer and Maldini already has a name on his table.

TuttoSport reports that Elseid Hysaj has been offered to AC Milan by his agent. The 27-year-ol Napoli has refused to renew his contract with the Partenopei and is looking for a new club.

The Albania captain is one of the most wanted players in Serie A with Fiorentina and Lazio very interested in his services. Hysaj has played his entire career in Italy. He emerged in Maurizio Sarri’s Empoli and latter joined Napoli for a figure of 5 million euros.

Elseid Hysaj has 225 appearances with Napoli to his name. He is considered a reliable and experienced full-back that helps the team in attack. When recently asked by the reporters, Hysaj’s agent replied: “He will play in a Champions League club next season.
