Chelsea and Frank Lampard plot the signing of AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek in January if their transfer ban is lifted.
Krzysztof Piatek finally found the back of the net from open play in Milan vs Lecce. It was not enough to help the Rossoneri grab three points but it was very important for the player.
Milan hope that that goal will help revive the Polish striker, although against Roma he should start again from the bench again. In fact coach Stefano Pioli should still prefer Rafael Leao over Piatek, just like last Sunday.
Nevertheless, the underwhelming start to the season has not cooled off interest in Piatek. Chelsea have been following the 24-year-old centre forward in recent months and are readying a January bid. Although the Blues were banned from signing players for two transfer windows, including this January, the English club is convinced that their appeal at CAS will be accepted.
With Rafael Leao cementing his place as a regular starter under Pioli, AC Milan are considering the sale of Krzysztof Piatek reports Calciomercato. If the transfer ban is lifted Piatek will reportedly be Frank Lampard’s number one target and AC Milan are open to sell.
According to reports, AC Milan would like to recoup their €35 million investment for the former Genoa. However, acmilaninfo.com can confirm that the Rossoneri value El Pistolero at around €50 million. Piatek had no real feeling with Marco Giampaolo but things seems headed for better under Stefano Pioli.
