After Thauvin, AC Milan want second player from Marseille
AC Milan are considering a double swoop from Marseille. After Thauvin, the Rossoneri want to sign Boubacar Kamara.
The January transfer window is approaching fast and AC Milan need to speed up their pursuit of a new centre back. The Rossoneri, as admitted by Paolo Maldini, are carefully scouting the French talents of Ligue 1 to strengthen the back line.
Mohamed Simakan is not the only target, whom the Red and Blacks tried to sign in the last hours of the summer transfer window. Strasbourg did not back down despite being offered 18 million euros by AC Milan and insisted that Simakan’s price was 25 million. At that time AC Milan considered the purchase of Marseille star Boubacar Kamara.
Sport.fr reports that AC Milan have not given up on the idea of completing a double signing from Marseille. Maldini publicly expressed his interest for right winger Florian Thauvin.
However, the 27-year-old winger could join the Rossoneri together with his teammate Kamara. The French portal writes that the name of Boubacar Kamara is high on AC Milan’s list of transfer targets for the defence.
Kamara is a natural centre back but has often been used as defensive midfielder. Just like for Thauvin, Marseille are on a tight corner also for Kamara. The contract of the 21-year-old defender expires in 18 months and no progress has been made in renewal talks. The youngster has received a lot of praise for his performances. The football press in France has been comparing Karama to former Milan great Thiago Silva for his elegance in interventions and the ability to read in advance the movements of the opponent.
