AC Milan in pole to sign ‘Japanese Messi’
AC Milan are in pole position to sign Real Madrid gem Takefusa Kubo, currently on loan at Mallorca.
AC Milan has set its sights on Takefusa Kubo, the 19-year-old Japanese forward of Real Madrid, currently on loan to Mallorca. A talented young player who the Rossoneri club would like to have in their team for next season.
Kubo is a product of Barcelona’s youth sector but switched to Real Madrid later. In Spain he has drawn comparisons with Barca star Leo Messie for the similar way of play. The Japanese wonderkid has impressed in his loan at Mallorca scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists in 29 games in La Liga appearances this season. His future will not be with the Los Blancos who have their extra-EU slots occupied by other players and therefore will loan Kubo again.
Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers and there are several teams interested in the Japanese winger. According to reports by Cadena SER (via MilanNews.it), AC Milan are in pole position to secure the services of Takefusa Kubo for next season.
There is however a “but”. Real Madrid would like to loan their gem to a club that will play in European cups next season. AC Milan are not yet sure of participating in the Europa League and therefore we must wait. The Rossoneri are currently seventh in Serie A with 10 matches until the end of the league.
AC Milan will surely try to insert a buy option for the 19-year-old right winger. The Rossoneri have avoided so far signing players without the possibility to make their stay permanent. The management has refused to make the Rossoneri squad a simple momentary “parking” as evidenced by talks for Dani Ceballos last summer.
