AC Milan reach deal for midfielder departure

AC Milan central midfielder Tommaso Pobega will have another spell on loan. The Italian is a wanted player on the market.

One of the most difficult tasks of Paolo Maldini and Massara is to offload a big number of players this summer. Lorenzo Colombo, Mattia Caldara and Jens Petter Hauge have recently left while Samuel Castillejo, Andrea Conti and Tommaso Pobega are expected to follow.

Earlier AC Milan rejected a 15 million euros offer for Tommaso Pobega. Initially, the Rossoneri were open to sell their gem but made a U-turn and decided to keep him instead.

However, the Italian central midfielder is not going to stay at San Siro. Coach Stefano Pioli does not consider Pobega ready and is unable to guarantee him the necessary game time so another loan experience is the right decision.

Journalist Daniele Longo reports that AC Milan have agreed to loan Tommaso Pobega to Cagliari until the end of the season. Several clubs are interested in the 22-year-old. Despite AC Milan having an agreement with Cagliari, it’s the player who will have the final say.

Tommaso Pobega had a great debut season with Spezia scoring 6 goals and assisting 3 in 20 appearances. While in 6 appearances with Italy U-21, the midfielder has scored 3 goals. The management believes that Pobega has great potential and will have a bright future ahead.
