AC Milan have sold Andrea Conti to Parma but the Italian right back may not be the only Rossoneri player to join them.
Andrea Conti is a new player of Parma. The 26-year-old Italian right-back joined Parma on loan until the end of the season. If Parma manage to stay in Serie A the transfer becomes permanent for a figure of 7 million euros.
At first glance the transfer may be considered low-cost but in fact the Rossoneri have generated a capital gain with the sale of Conti. The defender will record a profit of nearly 2.2 million euros while the club also saves 1.8 million in wages. Nevertheless, the figures are far from what the Rossoneri paid in 2017.
The Chinese Milan spent 24 million euros to sign Conti from Atalanta. The talented right back made 50 appearances in his three and a half years at San Siro with injuries hampering his career. Still, Conti may not be the only Milan player to join Parma in January.
Sky Sport reports that Parma are interested Mateo Musacchio. The Argentine centre back becomes a free agent at the end of the season. Milan have not offered him the renewal and would be glad to let him leave in January even on a free transfer.
Musacchio is facing a tough choice if he remains. The 30-year-old is totally out of Pioli’s plans and has made only one Coppa Italia appearance all season. In a recent interview, the agent of the former Villarreal declared that their plan was to stay at Milan until the end of the season and then choose a new club.
