AC Milan have started to consider life after Franck Kessie and have identified Brazilian midfielder Danilo as his substitute.
The victory against Lazio and the imminent debut in the Champions League at Liverpool have not distracted the Rossoneri management from market concerns. The issue of Franck Kessie’s renewal is not resolved and the Rossoneri are beginning to consider life after the farewell to the Ivorian midfielder.
There is a chance Kessie may leave in January so, whatever the outcome on renewal talks, Maldini and Massara are already looking for his substitute. According to reports from Spain, AC Milan have identified Danilo dos Santos Oliveira, simply known as Danilo, as the ideal candidate to replace Kessie.
Todofichajes reports that AC Milan have scouted Danilo on several occasions this year. The 2o-year-old central midfielder plays in Brazil with Palmeiras and has caught the eye of the Rossoneri with his performances. In the last season, the Brazil Under-20 midfielder made 35 appearances, scoring 3 goals and assisting another 3.
The Rossoneri scouts are pleased with what they have seen and believe Danilo is ready to play in Serie A despite his young age. A typical box-to-box midfielder, Danilo is a versatile player than can also play as defensive or attacking midfielder. Nevertheless, the interest in the Brazilian wonderkid is high.
In fact, Juventus, Manchester United, Roma and Inter are also keeping tabs on Danilo reports Todofichajes. Palmeiras are open to negotiate the sale of their midfielder and rate him at around 15 million euros. AC Milan have reportedly contacted Palmeiras and will try to anticipate the competition of other European clubs.
