Empoli coach Aurelio Andreazzoli is confident that his player will soon play for an important club like AC Milan.
AC Milan had a particular interest in the match against Empoli besides the three points. The Rossoneri are very interested in Nedim Bajrami, the Albanian attacking midfielder who has impressed Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. It is well known that Milan are looking for a new trequartista to give Stefano Pioli more choices in the frontline.
Brahim Diaz alone is not enough for the Italian coach, who was repeatedly forced to adapt players such as Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic in the attacking midfielder role. That will change when the transfer window opens and Nedim Bajrami is one of the most important names on Maldini’s lit of targets.
Technical, intelligent and young. Bajrami had a composed and of sacrifice match under the eyes of Maldini and Massara. AC Milan will continue to monitor his performances until the end of the season. But the chances of him becoming the third Empoli player to join Milan after Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic are high.
The question was put directly to coach Aurelio Andreazzoli at the end of the match between Empoli and Milan. Andreazzoli did not hide from admitting that Nedim Bajrami could follow in the same footsteps of Ismael Bennacer. “Is Bajrami a top club player like Milan?“, asked the journalists.
“I heard earlier that Bennacer was the best on the pitch tonight and he was with us until a few years ago, as was Krunic. Bajrami is on the same path. He has to make some progress, a few steps forward, but I believe that his future is more important than the Empoli stage.”
In his first season in Serie A, Bajrami has been in great form scoring 9 goals and assisting 5 in 30 appearances across all competitions. Signed for less than one million, Bajrami’s current market value has risen between 10 and €15 million.
