New name for AC Milan’s attack

AC Milan are looking at Werder Bremen left winger Milot Rashica to strengthen the attack. The 23-year-old could be one of the biggest summer bargains if the Germans are relegated.

MilanNews.it reports a new name that could join AC Milan’s attack next season. Among the various players followed with great interest by Ralf Rangnick, future manager of AC Milan, there is also Milot Rashica.

The 23-year-old left winger of Werder Bremen is also a target of Napoli, Liverpool and a couple of Bundesliga clubs. His contract expires in 2022 and Rashica has a price tag of 30 million euros, however, there is a clause that allows him to leave in case of Bremen’s relegation for just 16 million and Werder is currently penultimate in the standings.

Who is Milot Rashica? Born on 28 June 1996 in Vushtrria, Kosovo, he started playing in the Klubi Futbollistik Vushtrria, before being purchased in 2015 by Vitesse for 300 thousand euros. In two and a half years with Vitesse, Rashica played 100 games in all competitions and scored a total of 15 goals, also winning the Dutch Cup.

In January 2018 the Kosovo international transferred to Werder Bremen for 7 million euros. Rashica has done great in the last two seasons in Germany attracting the attention of several European top clubs. This season the flamboyant left winger made 31 appearances, scoring 10 goals and assisting 6.

Milot Rashica plays mainly wide on the left despite being a natural right winger. He is a very fast player, especially good in counter-attack and possesses great dribbling thanks to his excellent technique. Ralf Rangnick would like to bring him at Milan but Red Bull Leipzig, according to rumors in Germany, has already obtained Rashica’s green light and are reportedly in pole position for the 25 times capped Kosovo star.
