AC Milan are the latest club to show interest for Leeds United star Raphinha. The Brazilian winger has taken Premier League by storm.
Recent matches have highlighted AC Milan’s shortcoming on the right wing. Samu Castillejohas is not part of Pioli’s plans while Alexis Saelemaekers is not a player with a keen eye for goal. The other option, summer arrival Junior Messias, has been a ghost so far.
According to PianetaMilan, citing English sources, AC Milan have set their sights on Raphinha. The 24-year-old Brazilian right winger is doing great in the Premier League with Leeds United. In 10 league appearances so far, Raphinha has found the back of the net on 5 occasions.
The Leeds winger has just become a member of the Brazilian national team. In 5 appearances with the Seleção, Raphinha has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists. It’s becoming clear that the former Rennes talent is ready for the big stage. Some of Europe’s most important clubs are keeping tabs on his situation.
However, PianetaMilan’s claims that Milan can prise Raphinha away for just €30 million are vastly wide of the mark. Leeds United will not let their most important player leave unless an offer of over €50 million arrives. Furthermore, Leeds are not actively seeking to sell their star man.
While Maldini and Massara would love to bring Raphinha at San Siro it’s clear that the price tag is prohibitive for AC Milan. An impossible dream. At the moment Romain Faivre remians the most likely player to join the Rossoneri in January. The French winger of Brest has a price tag of around €15 million.
