AC Milan receive pleasing offer for Krunic

Rade Krunic

AC Milan are very close to selling Rade Krunic. The former Empoli has likely closed his career with just one season at San Siro.

Rade Krunic has never fully convinced since he joined Milan from Empoli last summer. The Bosnian midfielder was Franck Kessie’s back-up all season, without ever making an impact.

The Bosnia international made just 15 Serie A appearances in his first, and perhaps only year, at San Siro. Often from the bench but an injury also restricted his number of appearances.

There has been a lot of talk about the player’s possible move to Torino, where he would embrace Marco Giampaolo again, but at the moment his most likely destination is that of Freiburg. According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, the Germans have offered 6 million euros plus 2 million in bonuses.

A pleasing offer from AC Milan who spent the exact figure last summer (8 million) to buy Rade Krunic from Empoli. After the Europa League match against Shamrock Rovers, Milan are expected to give a final answer to Freiburg.

The sale of Krunic would help the Rossoneri in their pursuit of a new midfielder. Several names are being considered by the management after talks with Chelsea for Bakayoko stopped.
