Former Real Madrid star James Rodriguez could be headed to AC Milan. Bayern Munich will not sign the 27-year-old Colombian on a permanent deal.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – The Rossoneri club is moving in view of the next summer transfer window. Leonardo and Paolo Maldini have initiated contacts and are inquiring for several targets. In addition, agents and intermediaries have present themselves at Casa Milan to propose certain players.

An agent who is always very active in transfer market sessions is Jorge Mendes, who recently met coach Gennaro Gattuso. According to initial rumors the Portuguese agent had offered Gattuso the possibility of moving to Newcastle United at the end of the season, to replace Rafa Benitez. The AC Milan coach denied this gossip, explaining that Mendes is a friend of his and they had not spoken of a move to Premier League.

The powerful Portuguese agent in the summer will try to place some of his clients eager to change club. Among these is James Rodriguez. Bayern Munich will not sign the 27-year-old attacking midfielder on a permanent deal and he will return at Real Madrid at the end of the season. The German club has decided against investing 42 million euros for the definitive purchase of the Colombian playmaker.

James Rodriguez is not even in Real Madrid’s plans. Zinedine Zidane prefers other players and Real will happily listen to offers this summer. In recent weeks there has been much talk of interest from Juventus, who have a good relationship with Jorge Mendes. Last year the Portuguese agent brought Joao Cancelo and Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin. The Old Lady is a possible destination for James but not certain.

According to A Bola, AC Milan are also a concrete option for James Rodriguez with Jorge Mendes offering him to Red and Black club. A player of his talent would certainly enrich the Rossoneri team. Real Madrid paid 75 million euros for him in 2014 and could accept an offer of around 40 million. Despite FFP restrictions, AC Milan have the necessary resources to make such an investment. Elliott would be happy to bring at San Siro a world class player like Rodriguez but return to Champions League will be essential to move more freely in the transfer market.
