AC Milan are disappointed by Ante Rebic’s form this season and are looking at Inter for his replacement.
Ante Rebic is having a season to forget so far. The 28-year-old left winger has scored just 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 24 appearances. Disappointing numbers for a player that had reached double digits in his first two seasons with the Rossoneri despite his continuous injury problems.
Rebic has a contract until 2025 but his future has been put in doubt. The Rossoneri are already looking around for alternatives. TeleLombardia reports that AC Milan have contacted Inter star Ivan Perisic. The Croatian winger becomes a free agent at the end of the season and hasn’t reached an agreement with Nerazzurri to extend his contract.
Perisic is having another season filled with great performances. The Croatian has been one of Inter’s most important player giving a huge contribution in their fight for the Scudetto. He has scored 5 goals and assisted 6 in 40 appearances.
It has been impossible for coach Simeone Inzaghi to keep Perisic out despite signing Robin Gosens from Atalanta. Inter have offered Perisic a new two-year contract at €3.5 million per season but the player refused asking for more.
After losing Calhanoglu to Inter last years the Rossoneri could return the favor to Inter this summer. Despite their interest in Perisic AC Milan have another problem with Rebic. The Rossoneri would be more than willing to negotiate his sale but there isn’t much interest in the player.
