AC Milan are considering the signing on loan of Liverpool striker Divock Origi for January. The English club are open to negotiate.
The January transfer window is around the corner and the Rossoneri are looking for a new centre forward. According to the latest media reports AC Milan have expressed interest on Divock Origi, 23 year old striker of Liverpool, currently out of Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven.
The 25 times capped Belgium international can play as centre forward but also as right or left winger. His contract with the Reds expires in 2020 and the player has no intention of renewing. Origi is pushing to depart in January since he doesn’t seems to be in the technical projects of the German coach according to Calciomercato.it. Juventus are also interested but given the presence in attack of Mandzukic, Cristiano Ronaldo and Moise Kean the necessity for a new striker is not that high.
For the Rossoneri the search for a striker during the winter session is a priority. With only forwards in the squad coach Gennaro Gattuso needs a new addition, especially if Rino decides to use more often the 4-4-2 formation. Gonzalo Higuain and Patrick Cutrone are not enough considering the long season and the many games between Serie A, Europa League and cup.
The Origi idea is interesting for Milan and perhaps a loan move with the right to buy could be the right formula to bring the Belgium at San Siro. Liverpool are open to negotiate. This season Divock Origi has featured only once, for Liverool U-21, scoring one goal and providing an assist.
