AC Milan have reignited their interest in Gaston Pereiro. The PSV Eindhoven attacking midfielder is available at a very favorable transfer fee.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – It’s transfer market time for the Rososneri. Maldini and Boban are very busy trying to build the new AC Milan for next season. Among the many names the Rossoneri are considering this summer there is also Gaston Pereiro. Apparently AC Milan are intrigued by the 24-year-old Uruguayan.

His agent Paco Casal was seen at Casa Milan a few weeks ago and, according to La Gazetta dello Sport, the parties have resumed contacts recently. AC Milan have set their sights on the attacking midfielder of PSV Eindhoven. Gaston Pereiro made 27 appearances in the Eredivisie championship this season, scoring 10 goals and assisting 6. Pereiro also played all 6 games in the Champions League group stage. In his 4 years in Netherlands, the Uruguay international has made 114 league appearances, scoring 42 goals and providing 17 assists.

PSV value Gaston Pereiro at around 15 million euros. An affordable figure that can be lowered even further considering his expiring contract in one year. The talented footballer could play as trequartista, or second striker in Marco Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 lineup.

According to Di Marzio, the Rossoneri leadership had a fruitful meeting with Paco Casal in the past. The agent has offered Pereiro’s full availability to join the Rossoneri. The Red and Blacks need quality and fantasy in attack, as well as a good deal of experience.

Pereiro seems to have these characteristics, as well as potential for more. Lucas Paqueta is the only attacking midfielder AC Milan currently have but Giampaolo could deploy Hakan Calhanoglu in that position in case the Brazilian is not available. Technically, Pereiro would be that kind of player, plus he also plays as left or right winger.
