AC Milan have practically agreed personal terms with Marseille star Florian Thauvin reports France Football. The right winger costs around €30-40 million.
The Rossoneri are already at work for next summer’s shopping campaign. Although there are some issues to resolve with UEFA, the management is moving to reinforce the team.
One of the departments where Milan will certainly invest a lot is the attack. The team has two strikers that give guarantees like Krzysztof Piatek and Patrick Cutrone, the problem lies instead on the wings. In fact, Suso, Borini, Calhanoglu and Castillejo have never been consistent throughout the season. Considering assists and goals their contribution is not what a team in search of Champions League football needs. Something that Leonardo and Paolo Maldini will try to fix in the next summer transfer window.
According to France Football, AC Milan are closing personal terms with Marseille star Florian Thauvin. The 26-year-old French right winger scored 25 goals last season while in 2018/19 he has found the back of the net on 15 occasions and has provided 9 assists in 33 appearances. Thauvin has left behind his negative experience in Premier League and has now established himself as one of the best players in his position.
Marseille value Thauvin between 30 and 40 million euros. The France international has publicly declared he wants to change team this summer and test himself in another league. Thauvin is grateful to Marseille for relaunching his career but the player feels he is ready for the next step. Sporting director Leonardo is working on it and hopes to be able to close the deal soon. Surely it will be necessary to see if UEFA will put sticks in AC Milan’s wheels. Qualification for Champions League will be crucial in this regard.
Calciomercato.it reports that the Rossoneri club could include Andre Silva in the negotiations. In case the event that Sevilla decide not to sign the Portuguese at the end of the season. The Andalusians should put 39 million euros on the plate to buy the former Porto. At this moment it’s seems unlikely given the poor performance of the 23-year-old striker. A swap between Silva and Thauvin could be a good deal for both clubs
