AC Milan about to close first January exit

AC Milan are working to complete their first winter sale. The defender will leave after seasons at San Siro.

During the January transfer window AC Milan are expected to offload a couple of players. Redundancies that are not part of Stefano Pioli’s squad and should leave soon. Samuel Castillejo and Andrea Conti are such players but the defender has already prepared his bags.

Conti had a sensational last season with Atalanta becoming one of the best right backs in Europe. Goals and great performances convinced AC Milan in 2017 to spend a hefty fee of 24 million euros to acquire his services. However, Conti’s adventure with the Rossoneri was an unfortunate one.

The talented right back made only 20 appearances in his first two seasons at AC Milan with two serious ACL injuries hampering his career at San Siro. Conti’s contract expires at the end of the season but he is set to join Empoli in advance.

AC Milan are working to close the sale of Andrea Conti to Empoli for around 1 million euros. Milan also are willing him to let him leave on a free just to save on his salary. The 27-year-old is expected to complete his transfer to Empoli once the Serie A club has sold one player in order to free up space.

The Italian will leave permanently after four years and 51 appearances with AC Milan. However, this season Conti hasn’t played a single minute for the Red and Blacks often not being part of the match squad.
