Andrea Conti is very close to leaving AC Milan and moving to Fiorentina on loan with the obligation to buy.
AC Milan are being very active in these hours of the transfer market. But in order to make new purchases the Rossoneri first needs to offload the redundancies in Stefano Pioli squad. After Leo Duarte who is joining Istanbul Basaksehir, it seems that Andrea Conti will be next.
The departure of the Italian right-back was a matter of time with Parma and Genoa working for a lot of time to secure his services. However, the 26-year-old seems destined to join Fiorentina with the Viola having received the green light.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Andrea Conti has agreed to join Fiorentina. Among the interested clubs, Fiorentina is the only that the Italian defender would accept to move and according to Di Marzio AC Milan have also blessed the move.
A crucial meeting between AC Milan and Fiorentina is expected tomorrow. The Rossoneri are open to sell Conti for a figure of no less than 7 million euros in order to avoid making a loss. A move on loan with the obligation to make the transfer permanent is acceptable for both clubs.
AC Milan spent 24 million euros to purchase Andrea Conti from Atalanta in 2017. At that time the Italian was perhaps the best right-back in the league but a number of injuries hampered his career at the Rossoneri. Now the 26-year-old has lost his regular spot becoming Davide Calabria’s back-up.
