AC Milan are looking at French starlet Amine Gouiri to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede could leave at the end of the season.

AC Milan are really close to completing the signing of Liverpool striker Divock Origi on a free transfer. Origi is set to become the second consecutive striker to join the Rossoneri from the Premier League. However, Origi may not be the only centre forward to arrive this summer.

The contract of Zlatan Ibrahimovic expires at the end of the season and the parties have yet to reach a new agreement. The chance for Ibrahimovic to continue to play for one more year at San Siro are high. Nevertheless, AC Milan are already looking around if the two decide to part ways. Amine Gouiri is on AC Milan’s radar as possible replacement for Ibrahimovic.

According to reports from France, Gouiri has attracted the attention of AC Milan with his great performances in the last two years. He scored 16 goals and 8 assists last year in Ligue 1. Amine Gouiri is producing similar numbers this season finding the back of the net on 12 occasions and providing 8 assists in 33 appearances so far.

Footmercato.net reports that AC Milan are fighting with Borussia Dortmund for the services of 22-year-old Nice centre forward. The contract of Amine Gouiri with Nice expires in two seasons and the young striker is expected to change club this summer. The Rossoneri are paying special attention to Ligue 1 players lately.

Borussia Dortmund are working to replace Erling Haaland who will play elsewhere next season. Dortmund’s top two picks to succeed Haaland at Westfalenstadion are Gouiri and Karim Adeyemi. Both players have a similar price tag between 25 and 30 million euros.
