AC Milan have agreed personal terms with Ajax winger Dusan Tadic. The Serbian wants to join the Rossoneri.
The signing of a new right winger has been a hot mercato topic in recent month but surprisingly a winger on the opposite flank may arrive sooner. AC Milan are in talks with Ajax captain Dusan Tadic according to reports.
The 32-year-old Serbia international has agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri for a three-year contract of around 4 million euros per season. For the last three years, Dusan Tadic has been the creative figure behind Ajax’s success.
In 149 appearances with the Netherlands giants Tadic has scored 76 goals and assisted 70. Fantastic numbers for a winger that has often ben deployed in the attacking midfielder role behind the strikers.
Now the Rossoneri will try to convince Ajax to sell their captain and that will not be an easy feat. Ajax will put up a fight with sporting director Marc Overmars declaring: “He is not for sale this season. We started something good three years ago and Dusan is too important. He is the cement between the Ajax bricks. An professional, who takes young players under his arms. He provides the best sporting mentality needed to perform“.
Despite Ajax’s resistance, the goal scoring winger has already made his choice. He wants to join Milan but with a contract until 2023 it will not be easy to agree a transfer fee. Ajax are believed to rate Tadic at around €20 million.
