Transfer updates on Jovic, Dalot, Odriozola, Giroud and Kessie
Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio gives an update on AC Milan’s negotiations in progress starting from the completed deal of Brahim Diaz.
“The negotiation for Brahim is heading towards the conclusion on loan for 3 million euros and AC Milan will have an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season for an additional 22 million. Real Madrid will have a buy back clause set at 27 million euros (probably valid only for one year).
Kessie’s contract renewal is a hot topic. AC Milan will make every effort to extend the contract of the Ivorian midfielder. The Rossoneri have already made an important offer but will certainly increase it.
For Diogo Dalot there is still no agreement with Manchester United. Milan want to have him back on loan with an option to buy while the English club wants to sell him considering the many offers. If talks are not successful, Milan will go all in for Odriozola.
There is moderate confidence for Olivier Giroud, especially now that France is out of EURO’s. The Frenchman will have the opportunity to speak with Chelsea and understand if they will accept to release him for free or ask for a symbolic compensation instead.
On the other hand, there is an opening from Real Madrid for Luka Jovic on loan. That is the preferred option for AC Milan but Jovic’s very high salary is a problem for the Italians. After pulling the plug on Junior Firpo (set to join Leeds), AC Milan are considering Gudmundsson of Groningen for the role of Theo Hernandez’s back-up“
