Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio offers an update on AC Milan’s transfer target Sandro Tonali and the situation of Ibrahimovic.
Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, offered an update on AC Milan’s recent moves on the transfer market. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sandro Tonali have been the two main topics at Casa Milan.
The current contract of Zlatan Ibrahimovic expires at the end of the season. The Swedish striker was supposed to extend his stay for one more year but since the departure of Zvonimir Boban, and the chaos that followed, Zlatan’s permanence seems less likely.
According to the latest rumors Ibrahimovic may return to Sweden and join Hammarby, the club he co-owns. Di Marzio reports that Ibrahimovic will leave AC Milan at the end of the season. The chances that he remains are extremely slim due to the mutual desire of both the player and club CEO Ivan Gazidis.
Regarding potential signings, Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali is the hottest name on AC Milan’s radar. Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that Milan have contacted the player’s agent to express their interest and understand Tonali’s will even though the negotiation promises to be difficult.
Tonali is considered a perfect player for AC Milan but, as admitted by Di Marzio, the competition is really fierce. Inter and Juventus are the two other Italian clubs keeping tabs on Tonali while Real Madrid are also interested.
