AC Milan have managed to sign Sandro Tonali from Brescia beating the competition of city-rivals Inter.
Sandro Tonali will be a new player of AC Milan. A final agreement has been reached between Paolo Maldini and Brescia president Massimo Cellino for the transfer of the Italian midfielder. An official announcement is expected soon.
Tonali will join the Rossoneri on loan for 10 million euros with the right to buy set at around 15 million. The agreement includes a figure of another 10 million euros in add-ons linked to personal and team goals. Brescia will also have a percentage of future resale.
In the next few hours, the clubs will exchange documents and then it will be time for Tonali’s signature. The player has pushed for a transfer to Milan in the last few days. For months he seemed one step away from Inter, who actually had agreed personal terms with him and had a deal in principle with Brescia. However, the Nerazzurri postponed the deal many times to concentrate on other targets.
Maldini understood the frustration of the player and Brescia due to Inter’s delay and managed to snatch the defensive midfielder from the city-rivals. Brescia president Cellino (a Rossoneri fan) favored a move to Milan.
Coach Stefano Pioli will soon be able to count on a great reinforcement in midfield. The player will sign a five-year contract of around 2.2 million euros per year plus bonuses.
