Now that the January transfer window is officially opened here are the biggest stars AC Milan can sign for free but can join in the summer.

A product of AC Milan’s youth system, Matteo Darmian made his first-team debut in a Coppa Italia match, aged 16. He left AC Milan in 2010 to move to Palermo and a few later he was one of the most sought after defenders in Italy.
In 2015 the Italian 28 year old full back joined Manchester United, at the time coached by Louis van Gaal. After a bright start things went south for Darmian and ever since he transformed into a bench player under Jose Mourinho. It seemed that his nightmare was coming to end end this summer but United blocked his departure.
The former Rossoneri talent is a very versatile player and can occupy every position in defense. He could be a valuable solution for Milan considering the problems the squad is facing with Ivan Strinic and Andrea Conti. In addition, Matteo Darmian knows Milanello well and would have no problems to adapt quickly.
