Many European stars are in the final months of their contracts and will soon be available on free transfers.
A great number of players are set to become free agents at the end of the season. Starting from January a couple of prestigious names will be out of contract soon and will probably be available at bargain prices during the winter window. PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe tops the list of soon to become free agents but he’s not the only big name. Here’s the list of 11 stars that will become free agents soon:
1) Kylian Mbappe (PSG) – Paris Saint-Germain spent a record transfer of fee 180 million euros to purchase the French gem in 2017. Mbappe has been a sensation at PSG winning a number of trophies including the World Cup. Real Madrid will likely be his next destination after failing to secure his services last summer.
2) Paul Pogba (Manchester United) – Another French star entering the final months of his contract. Talks with Manchester United have stalled for a long time and a summer exit is the most likely option for Pogba. A move to Real Madrid looks to be the best alternative. His agent Mino Raiola is working to give Pogba the last big contract of his career.
3) Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona) – Injuries, questionable personal choices and never continuous performances on the pitch. Considering what they got it looks like Barcelona may have misused the 105 million euros plus bonuses spent in 2017. The French winger is gifted with indisputable talent but has never managed to really establish himself in Catalonia and with the signing of Ferran Torres now concluded, his cycle at Barcelona seems to have come to an end.
PART II
4) Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea) – The promising German has turned into one of the best centre backs in Europe during his time at Chelsea. After his farewell to Roma, Rudiger has won practically everything that could be won with the Blues and could be one of the most courted defenders in Europe very soon.
5) Niklas Sule (Bayern Munich) – At Bayern they seem to believe blindly in him but the contract renewal is not coming. Considering the depth of the Bavarian pockets, it is certainly not possible to rule out a last-minute agreement for the German centre back who in any case would have no problem finding accommodation in another big club.
6) Andreas Christensen (Chelsea) – In the year he found more continuity than ever with the Blues shirt, Chelsea could lose him. Just like Rudiger, Christensen has failed to reach an agreement with Chelsea. The Denmark international is reportedly Paolo Maldini’s dream signing for the defence.
7) Jesus Corona (Porto) – Corona is a name very well known to Italians fans either because Porto has often crossed the path of our teams in Europe, or for market reasons. Being able to sign the 28-year-old Mexican right winger on a free transfer next June will be tempting to many clubs, including some admirers from Serie A.
PART III
8) Denis Zakaria (Borussia Monchengladbach) – The Swiss midfielder could leave Germany well before next summer. Juventus and Roma have included him in their list of possible signings for some time. Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Zakaria and could make an offer to Gladbach to anticipate the timing and bring the 25-year-old in Rome soon.
9) Sardar Azmoun (Zenit St. Petersburg) – Another striker in high demand that is about to become a free agent shortly. Azmoun looked destined to leave Zenit last summer but negotiations failed in the last days of the mercato. The 27-year-old has been offered to AC Milan with the Rossoneri keeping tabs on his situation
10) Boubacar Kamara (Olympique Marseille) – The youngest on the list and consequently one of the most coveted. AC Milan have laid their eyes on Kamara for a log time. The French midfielder is considered an ideal substitute of Franck Kessie who will leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season.
Marseille are open to negotiate his sale in January in order to profit something from his departure. Besides AC Milan, a number of English clubd are interested in Kamara and could offer the 22-year-old midfielder better terms.
11) Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) – After Aubameyang’s exclusion from the squad, the scenario has completely changed at Arsenal. Lacazette has become a regular starter and his permanence in the Premier League can not be excluded. Lacazette too has been offered to AC Milan but the Rossoneri are planning to sign a younger striker instead.
